Cushing Counseling is a trauma-informed, sex-positive, LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy practice committed to delivering the highest standard of clinical care. We intentionally recruit and develop some of the most highly trained therapists in the United States, with a strong preference for clinicians educated at top-ranked graduate programs.

Our mission is simple: exceptional clinicians provide exceptional care. We believe rigorous training, strong clinical judgment, and ongoing professional development are essential to ethical, effective therapy—particularly in the areas of trauma, sex therapy, and relationship work.

As our practice grows, we are expanding our team and selectively hiring licensed therapists who demonstrate clinical excellence, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to evidence-based, inclusive care.

Our Standards

We prioritize clinicians who have trained at top 50 graduate programs in psychology, counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy, or who demonstrate equivalent advanced clinical training and experience. Experience or strong interest in trauma-informed care, sex therapy, attachment-based work, and relational therapy is highly valued.
