You shouldn't have to spend your first sessions explaining your relationship structure or defending how you love. I work with polyamorous, ethically non-monogamous, kink-involved and LGBTQ+ adults — honest, not harsh — so we can start with what you're actually facing.

I work with the point where a couple's conflict and one partner's sexual history stop being separate problems. My approach is explicitly evidence-based — the sexual difficulty gets treated directly rather than handled as a side effect of the relationship and hoped away.

Vanessa Cushing
Vanessa Cushing, MS, LPC, NCC, CST — is a Licensed Professional Counselor and AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist, and the founder of Cushing Counseling. She holds a Certificate in Sex Therapy from the University of Michigan and works with individuals and couples on desire, sexual functioning and intimacy.
Her clinical focus covers low desire and desire discrepancy, erectile difficulty, premature and delayed ejaculation, orgasm difficulty, genito-pelvic pain, out-of-control sexual behaviour, and reclaiming sexuality after trauma or infidelity. She also does integrative couples and sex therapy: communication, rebuilding trust, and repair after a betrayal.
She is direct and no-nonsense. She will challenge you to work intentionally toward what you actually want, without a shred of judgment about your sex life, and she will tell you plainly what she thinks is going on. Care is LGBTQ+ affirming and inclusive of all relationship structures.

Elizabeth Wolfe
Elizabeth Wolfe, PsyD — holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and is licensed as a clinical psychologist. She is certified in couples and sex therapy and holds a certification in sexual trauma, and she works with individuals and couples on desire, arousal, intimacy, infidelity and the conflict cycles underneath them.
Her approach is explicitly evidence-based: emotionally focused therapy for the attachment cycle underneath a couple's fights, integrative behavioral couples therapy for the patterns they cannot talk their way out of, and acceptance and commitment therapy for the individual work. Care is LGBTQ+ affirming and inclusive of non-monogamous relationships.
As a doctoral-level psychologist she can practise across state lines through the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact, which is what extends this practice beyond Virginia and Florida for the first time.

Radiance Sanneman
Radiance Sanneman, MS, LCPC, NCC, CCMHC — is a licensed counselor, a Level 1-trained Internal Family Systems therapist and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II). She works with adults in individual and group therapy.
Her specialties are survivors of complex trauma and relational betrayal — childhood abuse, toxic relationships, betrayal by a partner, employer or spiritual leader — alongside religious trauma and spiritual abuse, people at a spiritual or religious crossroads, life transitions, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Her belief is that you are the expert on your own life: her job is to help you access your internal wisdom and connect to the different parts of yourself, so healing happens without you having to face it alone.

Jennifer Fuller
Jennifer Fuller, LMFT — is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with nearly 10 years in practice — in community mental health since 2019 and private practice since 2022. She studied psychology at Wingate University, with a minor in communication focused on how people actually talk to each other: interpersonal, intercultural and nonverbal. Her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy is from Converse University, where she completed over 500 hours of direct client contact, more than half of it relational work with couples and families, including time at a low-income community clinic and a county jail.
Early in her career she worked at a group practice known for serving the LGBTQ+ community, and naturally began working with queer couples, polyamorous clients and people exploring non-traditional relationship structures. What she noticed: most clients weren't looking for someone to tell them whether their relationships were right or wrong. They wanted someone who understood them well enough that they didn't have to start every session defending or explaining their lives.
Her job isn't to tell you what your relationship should look like — it's to help you understand yourself, communicate more honestly and build relationships that reflect your values instead of someone else's expectations. Her approach is honest, not harsh: she'll tell you what she thinks in a way you can act on, without shame, blame or unnecessary sugarcoating.
Clients describe her as calm, direct and easy to talk to. She'll challenge you when it serves you, never with judgment, and believes therapy should be both thoughtful and practical — insight that keeps working after the session ends. Her work is grounded in relational and family-systems therapy, so she looks at the whole relationship system, not just one person in it.

How we work
Every clinician here is trained specifically in sexual health, not simply willing to talk about it. That means the awkward conversation you have been rehearsing is one we have several times a day — about desire, erections, pain, orgasm, betrayal, kink, shame — and it will not be the first time anyone in the room has heard it.
Sessions are held online by secure video across Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Florida. Which state you are sitting in decides who can legally see you, so licensure is printed on every card above rather than buried in a footer.
